“Being born of the Spirit” – A brief Scriptural exposition

Praise be to the most precious and the only exalted Name of our heavenly Father, Saviour, soon coming King Lord Jesus Christ.  To Him be all the glory, honour, power and dominion now and forever. Amen.

Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.– John 3:5,6

“Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.” – 1 Pet 1:23

A believer’s life means nothing without the Spirit of God. From the time a person is born again, until the time his mortal bodies are quickened, the Spirit of God plays an important role.  The Scripture refers the Spirit of God as the Holy Spirit, Holy Ghost and in many other terms.  The Holy Spirit operates in the life of a believer in so many ways.  Each one of those operations of the Spirit in the life of a believer is genuinely unique. Here are some from them:

Born of the Spirit :

Joh 3:5,6 Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.

Receiving of the Spirit :

Acts 2:38 – Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.

Filled with the Spirit :

Eph 5:18 – And be not drunk with wine, wherein is excess; but be filled with the Spirit;

Indwelling of the Spirit :

Rom 8:9 – But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.

Baptism of the Spirit :

Act 11:16 – Then remembered I the word of the Lord, how that he said, John indeed baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost.

Walking in the Spirit :

Gal 5:16 – This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh.

Leading of the Spirit :

Rom 8:14 – For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.

Sealing of the Spirit :

Eph 4:30 – And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption.

Fruit of the Spirit :

Gal 5:22,23 – But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, gentleness, goodness, faith, Meekness, temperance: against such there is no law.

Gifts of the Spirit :

1Co 12:4-10 – Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal. For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:

Quickening of the Spirit :

Rom 8:11 – But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you.

All the operations of the Spirit are unique experiences in the life of a believer.  In some cases, they can complement each other but never will substitute or replace one for another. It all begins from being born of the Spirit. And it ends when the mortal bodies are quickened by the Spirit when Christ Jesus appears in the clouds of Glory.

In this brief exposition, we will look into what the scripture declares about being born of the Spirit. Scriptures are the sole basis for our faith and life in Christ because they are inspired by the Spirit of God.  True Christianity is not about searching the scriptures to justify our experiences.  It is about yearning to derive our experiences through and from the scriptures by believing the same.

Being born of the Spirit is the first and foremost experience of a believer. That is how the Spirit of God begins to work in the life of a believer.  First means first and no other experience can substitute it or replace it.  All the other unique experiences of the Spirit cannot be a part of our life if it does not begin with being born of the Spirit.  It is just like in the natural. A person must be born in the natural first so that he can live his life in the natural.  Without a person’s birth, his life simply does not exist.

It is the same way in Spiritual life too.  If we are not born of the Spirit, our life in Christ simply do not exist. When a baby is born, it becomes a natural citizen of the country in which it is born.  Same way without being born of the Spirit, we do not have the assurance of being citizens in God’s Kingdom. Also, when a baby is born, it establishes a real relationship with everyone in the family like father, mother etc. In the same way a real relationship is established with our heavenly Father and fellow brothers and sisters in Christ only when we are born of the Spirit.  On the whole a genuine life in Christ is set in motion only through Spiritual birth.  It is particularly important for every believer to be sure of this unique experience of being born of the Spirit.  Remember no other experience can substitute or replace this unique experience of being born of the Spirit.

In John 3:3 our Lord Jesus told Nicodemus, “…..Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”.  The term “born again” that Christ Jesus mentioned sounded very strange to him. That is why in verse four, he started to question by saying, Lord, how can a born be born again when he is old? Can a grown man enter again into his mother’s womb to be born again? He simply could not understand it. Then our Lord Jesus explained what He really meant in John 3:5,6 which declares, “Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit.”.  What our Lord Jesus told was that this rebirth is not a birth of the flesh but of the Spirit.  This second birth which is of Spirit in nature would make an individual to enter the kingdom of God.  It is so important.

What does the Scriptures say about being born of the Spirit?  Down through the history of the Church a lot of traditional interpretations have been taught, of how a person is born of the Spirit.  Some of those interpretations do not stand the test of the scriptures. The Bible declares that none of the scriptures is of private interpretation (2 Peter 1:20).  It is because of this, a lot of the unique experiences of the Spirit as we saw before in the scriptures earlier are misconstrued. One experience is mistaken for another experience. Or sometimes one experience is substituted or replaced for the other.  But the truth of the matter is, being born of the Spirit is being born of the Spirit.  Being born of the Spirit is not receiving of the Spirit and receiving of the Spirit is not quickening of the Spirit etc. No other experience can substitute or replace this first unique experience of the Holy Ghost that a believer sees operating in his or her life.

If we can understand the natural birth, we can understand what the scripture says about being born of the Spirit.  When it comes to natural birth, a seed is important for birth.  Without a seed there cannot be a new birth or new life.  Seed is the source of every birth.  And the process is that the seed must be brought into the right environment to be incubated.  Without the seed and its incubation in the right environment, there cannot be a birth of new life.

For example, if there must be an apple tree, the apple seed must be planted into the ground.  It is because, the ground inside is the right environment for the seed to germinate and incubate.  After the incubation, new life begins to manifest.  And then it grows to mature and give its fruit.  This is the natural law for any new life, be it in a plant kingdom, an animal kingdom or a human kingdom.  God never sets a natural law without first constituting it in the Spiritual. This seen natural world was not created from another seen natural world but from an unseen Spiritual world. That is what even the scripture declares in Heb 11:3.

As it is in the natural, so also it is in the Spiritual because the natural is a mere reflection of the Spiritual. As no natural birth is possible without a natural seed so it is with being born of the Spirit. Without a Spirit seed there cannot be a Spirit birth. Only a Spirit seed is the source of Spirit birth.  And, the process of germination of Spirit seed is the same as it is with the natural seed.

Let us know what is the Spirit seed that is the source of the Spirit birth.  The Holy Scripture declares in 1 Pet 1:23, “Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.”.  The scripture very clearly declares that the Spirit seed is the word of God. Sometimes, we think about the word of God to be natural.  We think so because it is printed and given to our hands as a book like any other book.  But we need to understand it is only given to us in a natural form, but word of God is Spiritual in nature.  Our God is a Spirit (John 4:24).  How can the word of that Spirit God become natural? Our Lord Jesus declares in John 6:63, “It is the spirit that quickeneth; the flesh profiteth nothing: the words that I speak unto you, they are spirit, and they are life.”.  Let there not be any doubts in the fact, that the word of God is the Spirit seed.  And then 1 Peter 1:23 says this Spirit seed of the word of God is incorruptible.  Incorruptible means it cannot be destroyed.  Anything that is natural is corruptible.  But the Spirit seed of God’s word is eternal.  As God is eternal, so also the seed of His word is eternal.  That is why the scripture says, it is incorruptible.  And because it is incorruptible, the scripture says that it lives and abides forever.  Praise the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Because of the incorruptible, ever living and ever abiding nature of the Spirit seed of God’s word, a person that is genuinely born again by it also becomes an eternal being.  His natural body might die and decay.  But his real spiritual being is destined to live on and on forever and ever.  That is what makes the believer an eternal being.  This incorruptible seed by which a believer is born again, marks the beginning of his transition from the ways of death to the way of life. That is why it is particularly important not to belittle the Spirit seed in the experience of being born of the Spirit. In 1 John 3:9 the scripture declares, “Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.”.  We are eternal because we inherit, possess and are born again of something that is eternal which is the incorruptible seed of God’s word that lives and abides forever. In John 5:24 our Lord Jesus declares, “Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life..  That is why the new life in Christ is meant to manifest the very life of Christ and no other. Without this Spirit seed a person cannot be born of the Spirit.

And the process of birth too is the same as it is in the natural.  A seed must be conceived and incubated before it can give forth its new life. Take for example a woman.  God has created her with a natural ability to conceive a seed and incubate it before she can give birth to a new life.  Same way the hearts of the people have the potential to conceive the incorruptible Spirit seed of God’s word.  Just like the earth is the right environment for a plant seed, our inner being gives the right environment to germinate and incubate the Spirit seed of God’s word.

Another important thing that we need to understand is that the working of a seed in its right environment is only in God’s control.  If a seed is planted into the ground, everything that happens like the germination and incubation before its budding out, happens naturally.  The gardner only waters and protects the seed.  He makes sure the seed never gets out of the environment or get disturbed before it brings forth its new life.  He never would try to get underneath the ground to handle that seed.  Everything happens and is done naturally by the greatness of God.  Even a woman who conceives a seed does not do anything with the seed but just preserves it so that it could be incubated properly before its birth.  Same way it is with the incorruptible seed of God’s word in our hearts.  The germination and the incubation of incorruptible Spirit seed of God’s word is the supernatural work of the Holy Spirit.  We just possess the incorruptible seed in and yield ourselves to the Spirit to do the supernatural work in our hearts.

When we go to Acts 2 and read what happened on the day of Pentecost, we can understand this.  Here we read for the first time, the message of the gospel was presented by the Holy Ghost to the people after the ascension of Jesus Christ.  Also, there we find the Spirit birth of around three thousand souls.  God almighty used Apostle Peter to deliver the first gospel message.  Because of that, we see the incorruptible Spirit seed of God’s word was brought into the right environment so that it can begin to germinate in the hearts of those that yielded to it.  It was a supernatural work of the Holy Ghost that was done in the unseen realm of the spirit.  As Peter spoke from the inspiration of the Holy Ghost, he put emphasis on the word of God, the incorruptible seed as we read in Acts 2:14 which says, “… hearken to my words:” and in Acts 2:22 which says, “… hear these words; …”.

It is also especially important to note what Apostle Peter spoke under the influence of the Holy Ghost.  If we read it carefully, Jesus Christ was the centre of the message he spoke. Because the word of God is all about Him as the Scripture declares in John 1:14, “And the Word was made flesh,”. Also let us not forget John 1:1 which declares, “and the Word was God.”. Jesus Christ, who is God, manifest in the flesh is the total embodiment of the Word. Without Him being the centre of the message, the incorruptible seed of God’s word cannot germinate and produce new life.

And when we look at the details of his message, he did not begin from the earthly birth of Jesus Christ.  He began from the prophecy that was foretold.  It is because the life of Jesus Christ is the fulfilment of prophecy on this earth. These were said not just to answer those that were sceptical about what happened in the upper room. It was said to present Jesus Christ not just as a human personality that was born to live and die but to present Him as an eternal God manifest in the flesh. In 1 Timothy 3:16 the scriptures declare, “And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, …..”. That is why the Scripture very clearly says in 1 Timothy 1:15, “…Christ Jesus came…”.  He came because He existed before.  In John 8:58, the Scripture declares, “Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.”. Virgin birth was only a way He chose to come for a reason as we read in Hebrews 2:14. Then in his message the Apostle Peter spoke about His death, burial and resurrection.

These are important information, the Holy Spirit reveals to the hearts of the receivers.  He can do it in so many ways.  The revelation of who Christ Jesus really is, is the only solid foundation of the new life in Christ (Matthew 16:17,18).  The message is more important than the method. Some people get so much carried away by the method than the message. This is important because right seed is important for right birth.  Christ Jesus as the scripture reveals is the original seed (John 1:14). John 1:18 declares, “No man hath seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.”.  When we are born again of this original incorruptible seed, our life transitions into Him (2 Cor 5:17). If He is the only begotten Son, there is no other.  That is why every other born again sons and daughters of God is in Him.  It can happen only through the original incorruptible Spirit seed of God’s word.

On the flip side, we need to know the manipulative work of the enemy. In this natural world, many crops are raised by genetically modified seeds.  Sadly, what we see in the natural merely reflects what is happening in the spiritual. The adversary is trying all the best he can to modify the original incorruptible seed of God’s word.  He has mastered that art right from the garden of Eden (2 Corinthians 11:3).  In these last days many will come in His name and say I am Christ (which means the anointed) and then shall deceive many with the adversary’s fallacy (Mark 13:6). And sadly, there are many that will fall prey to this deception.  If a seed is genetically modified, then its birth, growth and fruit will also be a modified version.  But Christ has called us to be original.  And that is why only the original incorruptible seed of God’s word is the source for the Spirit birth.  There are no duplicates in God’s Kingdom. A tree is known by its fruit. But a fruit is known by its root and the root by the seed from which it came.

Without hearing and hearkening, the Spiritual seed of God’s word cannot germinate and produce a new life in Christ.  Just as a ground receives the seed to incubate the same in the right environment to bring forth new life, even the incorruptible seed of God’s word must be heard, hearkened, revealed and received by the supernatural power of the Holy Ghost. This is just more than hearing the natural voice of a preacher with our natural ears.  It is hearing the voice of the Spirit behind the natural voice of the preacher, in the ears of our heart.  Heart is the place where the Spiritual seed is incubated before it gives birth to new life in Christ.  When we read the scripture in Act 2:37 it declares, “Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart,”.  If they would have heard the incorruptible seed of God’s word just with their natural ears, this would not have happened. This goes to show they heard the voice of the Spirit that was encapsulated in the voice of Apostle Peter who spoke under the inspiration of the Holy Ghost. We do not know exactly how many people gathered on the day of Pentecost. But the Scripture says approximately three thousand souls were added into the Kingdom as Acts 2:41 declares, Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls. Why only three thousand? It is because only the three thousand gladly received the word in their hearts.

When a seed enters the right environment, it does not stay alone and idle. It goes into work. It begins to twist, turn, break and takes form and shape. That was what happened to the believers of old in the first century Church. Before the giving forth of new life in Christ, the incorruptible Spirit seed of the word were pricking their heart.  It is much deeper than an emotional mental state.  It is something that happens deep inside the unseen realm of the spirit.

After the incorruptible seed of God’s word pricked the hearts of those who believed, the seed was ready to give birth.  A birth is not a birth until it comes to a seen form.  If the seed is incubated, the next very thing that happens is its birth, the seen form of a new life that emanates from the seed.  These believers in Acts 2:37, when the incubated incorruptible seed of God’s word in them was about to give birth, they asked the apostles, what shall we do?  Then in Acts 2:38 the scriptures declare, “Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.”.  Repentance means the change of heart.

Repentance is the initial sign of actual birth that comes as a direct result of the reception and incubation of the incorruptible seed of God’s word.  It takes place in the unseen spiritual realm of a believer’s heart. That is where the new life begins. When the Spirit seed tires to bud out through repentance in the life of a believer, his thinking and way he wants to live his life becomes anew. That inner aspiration to live a changed life, and the distaste for the old life marks the actual beginning of the Spiritual birth.  This is what Jesus declares in John 3:8, “The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, but canst not tell whence it cometh, and whither it goeth: so is every one that is born of the Spirit.”.  He uses a simple analogy here. A wind can be felt and even can be heard.  But no one can see from where it comes and how it comes.  It is so with a person who is born of the Spirit.  We can see the aspirations of a person who is born again to live a changed life, but we really cannot see how the changes came.  We can see the effects of the new birth but cannot comprehend how it all happened. Because it is the supernatural work of the Holy Ghost through the incubation of the incorruptible seed of God’s word in the unseen spiritual realm.  This is the initial genuine experience of being born of the Spirit.

And then comes baptism in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins.  Baptism is an outward sign of what happens on the inside.  When a believer repents in the unseen realm, the old life he lived is put to death and a new life begins.  That is why in baptism we bury the outward man in water just like a dead body is buried into the ground.  And when he comes out of water, it is a symbol of him resurrecting with the new life in Christ.  Rom 6:4 declares, “Therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death: that like as Christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life.”.  In Col 2:12, “Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead.”. It is a beautiful outward picture of what happens on the inside.  Before our outer being can be resurrected, the inner being should be resurrected to walk in the newness of life.

Baptism is one of the outward signs of how a seed after incubation inside the ground push up and bud outside in the seen realm.  That’s why in John 3:5, our Lord Jesus declares, “Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.”. Look at the order. First the water and then the Spirit.

The only place where we read that order a little different is in Acts 10.  And God allowed this change to happen because of a reason.  There we see people were born of the Spirit, received the Spirit like in Acts 2 as they heard the word and then were baptised in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.  It happened so because at that time, Peter the Apostle had a hard time to believe that the message of the gospel of salvation is for the gentiles.  The reason is it was the first time God almighty ever asked anyone to preach the message of the gospel to the gentiles. God allowed this little change of order so that Bro. Peter could witness the believers experience the same that he himself experienced on the day of Pentecost. That’s why he said in Act 10:47 & 48, “Can any man forbid water, that these should not be baptized, which have received the Holy Ghost as well as we? And he commanded them to be baptized in the name of the Lord. Then prayed they him to tarry certain days.”. Just to confirm to Apostle Peter that the gospel is indeed for the gentiles too without the shadow of any doubts, God allowed this.  If He would not have allowed that, Peter would have hesitated to baptise the believers there or perhaps would have never baptised them at all.

Coming back to the order in John 3:5, it says being born of water and then of the Spirit. In the natural birth water bursts forth before the new life comes from an unseen realm to the seen realm.  Same way being born of water is an important symbol of the new life in Christ budding out of a believer’s life.  Also, baptism in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins is an outward symbol of a believer openly acknowledging the new birth and the new life in Christ.  Our Lord Jesus said in Matt 10:32, “Whosoever therefore shall confess me before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.”. Repentance initiates the new life in the unseen realm and the baptism in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ for the remission of sins brings that new life for the first time into the seen realm. Others can see water baptism just as a ritual, but God almighty knows the work that was done by the Spirit through the incorruptible seed of God’s word.  This marks the birth of the Spirit.

We need to understand being born of the Spirit is just the beginning. That is why after this genuine Spirit birth, every other experience of the Spirit follows the believers.  When the early believers asked what we shall do in Acts 2:37, Peter the Apostle said, Repent and be baptised in the Name of Jesus Christ and then ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost (Acts 2:38). He never said you must receive the gift of the Holy Ghost but said you shall receive.  After being born of the Spirit, the receiving of the Spirit becomes the next immediate experience.  It is like a baby after birth receiving nutrition from its mother for survival and growth.  A baby cannot receive milk from its mother if it is unborn.  Same way a believer who is genuinely born again by the incubation of the incorruptible seed of God’s word will and shall receive the promise of the Holy Ghost that comes from above. Will a mother who gives birth to her baby hold back any good thing that is necessary for its survival and growth?  Will a hungry child refuse to receive the strength from its mother? Will anything stop the sunlight falling on a seed that just budded out of the ground? Absolutely not. Even it is so with receiving of the Spirit with a born again believer. God almighty who sees the accomplished initial work of the Spirit in the sincere heart of a believer sees no hinderance for that heart to receive His Spirit.  He gives and the heart receives. Our Lord Jesus declares in Luk 11:13, “If ye then, being evil, know how to give good gifts unto your children: how much more shall your heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit to them that ask him?”. When we believe and yeild ourselves to Him to do what we need to do with a sincere heart of faith, it is followed by the fulfilment of promise.

It does not stop there but is followed by every other unique operations and experiences of the Holy Ghost as we saw in the beginning. Then only we can grow after birth. But it always begins with being born of the Spirit.  That was what happened in the early Church, as we see in Acts 2:41, “Then they that gladly received his word were baptized: and the same day there were added unto them about three thousand souls.”.

What we need to understand is, being born of the Spirit is being born of the Spirit.  It is a unique experience of the Spirit that initially sets the life of a believer in motion.  It cannot be mixed or be substituted with any other experience.  All the other experiences will certainly follow, but it must begin with the Spirit birth. That is why Spirit birth in accordance with the scriptures should never be belittled or bypassed.

This is the scriptural way of being born of the Spirit.  It marks the beginning of our life in Christ on this earth.  Without a genuine beginning, there cannot be a genuine progression and a genuine perfection that God almighty has ordained for us.  And the Scriptures that are inspired by the Holy Ghost is the only source by which we can perceive the genuine way. Our Lord Jesus declares in John 7:38, “He that believeth on me, as the scripture hath said, out of his belly shall flow rivers of living water.”.  It is one thing to say, I believe in Him, but it is another thing to believe on Him as the scripture hath said.  I take this opportunity to beg and plead to consider this genuine scriptural way of being born of the Spirit. It is very important to be sure of this born-again experience in our life.  In 2 Pet 1:10 the scripture declares, “Wherefore the rather, brethren, give diligence to make your calling and election sure: for if ye do these things, ye shall never fall:”.

At no time we should let the traditional beliefs of the scriptures, hinder us from seeing and believing the actual scriptural truth.  Let us no more rely on, “I have been told” or “I have been taught” and so on.  But let us heed to what, “Thus saith the Lord”.  Let us no more become victims of ways other than what Scripture declares by saying, “this is how I learnt from my seminary, denomination or in the Church I grew up”.  Let us forsake all the private interpretations and say yes and amen to what, “Thus saith the Lord” through the holy scriptures.  Thank God for the churches that are committed to proclaim the whole counsel of God without any adulteration or private interpretations. When all is said and done, only what the Lord has spoken will stand. Christ Jesus declares in Matt 24:35, “Heaven and earth shall pass away, but my words shall not pass away.”. Isa 40:8 declares, “The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.”.  The Scriptures never say, “Thus said the Lord” but it always says, “Thus saith the Lord”.  What He spoke, He still speaks today.  He is eternal and He never changes.  He is the living word. That is why His word also is eternal and it never changes.

Let us be aware of the time in which we exist in God’s calendar.  It has been approximately two thousand years since the New Testament Church has been in existence in this world.  Most of the Church in its history was deceived by the enemy’s cunningness for hundreds of years.  As the serpent beguiled the first Eve of first Adam in the shadows, the enemy has tried and still is trying the same with the Church who is the last Eve (bride) of the last Adam, Jesus Christ. In 2 Cor 11:3 Apostle Paul recorded his concerns regarding this through the inspiration of the Holy Ghost. We are living in a time where the Lord is restoring His Church back to how she began.  True Church of Jesus Christ came into existence not in Nicea but in Jerusalem.  The genuine Church of God today must bypass and ignore all the unscriptural perversion, fallacy and its effects that was brought during the dark ages of Church history. It must be hooked on to the Church that was born on the day of Pentecost in Jerusalem.

Being born of the Spirit should be experienced as God intended it to be in accordance with the Holy Scriptures. As there is a saying, “well begun is half done”, the Spiritual birth in the life of a believer is important.  When someone is genuinely born of the Spirit all the other experiences of the Spirit will certainly follow. There is no power that will be able to stop it and we will be able to live a genuine life in Christ.  May God grant us His grace to see, believe and experience the scriptures as it is.

Grace be with us all and peace be multiplied in the Name of the Lord Jesus Christ.

In Him,

Bro. Jamey F. Davis
